We use a book truck for book return. It is labeled at both ends and sits at one end of the checkout counter. When I was in an elem school, students put their books on the truck as they walked into the library. If a student wanted a book from there, they knew to ask. Now it works fairly well, tho teachers, esp., hand us their materials. They're learning that there is a return place. We do have a Book Return out in the hall and have the problem of trash in it.
