Yes, I'm tenured.  and me and the coworkers and union reps have it 
figured that he is harassing me, because he hasn't put this threat in 
writing. In addition, nobody thinks he has a leg to stand on for the 
reasons you've listed, and others.  I've been able to put it out of 
the anxious range, it is only of mild concern at this point.  My 
doctor will send him a letter.  That is all I will do as of now. 
He's out by July 1.

Many thanks to everyone for your suggestions and sympathy.  Once 
again LM_NETters come through.
