Sorry to ask this but I have been all over the internet and all I can find is the
same article written a hundred different ways.
I am marrying a Mexican man this August. We would like to include the lasso and
coin traditions into our wedding. His mother does not speak English and his father
is vague on detais. We are meeting with a Lutheran Pastor tonight to talk and to
also make sure he is willing to incorporate some of these traditions. I know what
the lasso and coins mean but I want to be very detailed in telling the Pastor what
his role is. (Yes I realize these traditions are Catholic)
When do you put the rope on, who does it, does the pastor say anything, when do you
take it off, who takes it off, where does it go for the rest of the ceremony etc.
What is the exact timeline for the coins. Does someone hand them to the pastor at
the beginning of the ceremony he blesses them and sets them aside for later. When
are they handed to the groom, Is anything said, then he puts them in my hands, what
do I do next?
HELP!!
