[LM_NET] TARGET: 3rd grade demo lesson

Hi everyone,
I hope you can help me--and fast!

I have been called to do a 15 to 20 minute demo lesson for a third grade class at a 
school where I really, really want to work.  The demo is scheduled for Monday 
morning (yikes!) and it is a week before the school lets out for the summer.  I 
have had two interviews at the school already, and I hope this is the last step.

I thought I might to a book preview lesson for some summer reading books but I'm at 
a loss for what third graders are even reading!  Please help with some book 
suggestions or even another lesson that will knock their socks off!  I'll post a 
hit.
