Dear LM_NET members, I am attending ALA in June/July and wondering whether to also sign up for the Advocacy Institute. Did any of you attend it in January or have information about it who could give me some feedback? I am wondering whether enough of the material is specific to school libraries and retaining staff positions. Also, I read that the "Spokane Moms" are going to speak. One of my volunteers is interested in getting involved in school library advocacy while we are facing a serious threat to our jobs right now. I am wondering if it might be appropriate to encourage her as volunteer to attend. I will post a hit if there are requests. Thanks for your help!
