Hello all, Me ... yet again. What professional books on teaching, education, and/or librarianship would you recommend? I am thinking along the lines of: Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson The World is Flat by Friedman School of Dreams by Hume The Gatekeepers by Steinberg Wikinomics by Tapscott and Williams Stuff by Jonathan Kozol You get the picture ... What other stuff might you recommend? I'll post a hit. Thanks, dave Dave Wee, Librarian Harvard-Westlake Middle School 700 North Faring Road Los Angeles, CA 90077 dwee@hw dot com "The fact that she had a nut for a head made it hard for her mind to grasp new ideas." ~~ Miss Hickory, Carolyn Sherwin Bailey, 1946 ~~ ________________________________ From: School Library Media & Network Communications on behalf of Barbara Braxton Sent: Thu 10/23/2008 9:53 PM To: LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU Subject: Re: [LM_NET] TARGET: Use of term book trailer Debbi has sent me this site ... http://digitalbooktalk.com/ and it seems even the phrase "digital booktalk" is now trademarked! I hope no one has already snaffled my name of "Book Bait" in this context and I end up in trouble. I can't see that it has been used, so if you like it and don't want to be at risk of using a trademarked phrase, then as far as I am concerned, help yourself!
