We have Reading Counts in our school and my books are dotted with very small dots.
The kids select 1 RC book and 2 free choice books. No one knows which book is their
color unless they announce it and I have a wide variety of selections including
many popular books. The push in our school is reading improvement and not who's the
best. I wouldn't go with large labels but something subtle works well for us. It
allows the kids to quickly find their level book without having it flashed from the
roof tops. I look at it as a workable solution to both privacy and effienciency.
