LM_NET Archive



A colleague of mine who is an administrator would like some information on the use 
of colored dots on the outside of books to indicate reading level.  I told her it 
was unethical to do so as it “announces” to everyone the reading level of the 
student, which should be confidential (like grades.)  Does anyone know of any 
articles or references that discuss this?  She would be interested in your opinions 
on the matter as well.  Thanks for your help!
