These are the responses that I received when I asked for poems about all the different spellings in English. I got many many responses, then I got sick, and I just haven't been able to send a personal message to each of you. However everything was much appreciated and now my students have a variety to work with instead of one-size-fits -all. It has samples of words like through, though, tough and cough. My online searching has given me the one which starts ... I take it you already know of tough and bough and cough and dough? Others may stumble, but not you on hiccough, thorough, slough and through. But there is a tickle in my brain that says there is another one. If you know it, please send it to me. The poem above was featured many times on the World Wide Web but without attribution. Does anyone know if there is a known author? If I find the one that I am looking for, I shall post the words of both in a hit.
