A teacher asked me the following. I do not know anything about this university so thought I would check with all of you. Has anyone heard of or had interaction with Western Governor's University? Good experience? Bad? Here is her letter: I am interested in pursuing an online masters in ELL. In my research of various programs, I have come across a completely online accredited university called Western Governor's University. It is a competency based program that you work through at your own pace paying a flat 6 month fee. It sounds like a program that fits my learning style and meets my state's requirements, but I have some reservations. Will my degree hold much merit? What is the reputation of WGU? Any insights into this university would be much appreciated. Thanks! -- "What a school thinks about its library, is a measure of what it thinks about education."
