Thanks in advance for your advice! I am a student nearly finished with my MLS. Through the course of my studies I have gained a particular interest in records creation and management. My knowledge of "cleaning up" records as well as creating new MARC records is limited as of yet. Ideally, I would like to work as an independent contractor for individual K-12 libraries or districts to work with records. My questions are: Do you think there would be an interest in K-12 libraries for records clean up and/or creation? How should I go about getting the experience I need to develop the skills necessary to benefit K-12 libraries? Is there a specific product/technique I should be familiar with? Thank you, Kathleen Dixon MLS student in the Department of Library Science Sam Houston State University Cypress, TX -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
