I had 2 library cats for a number of years. The kids and staff loved them but we 
had to get rid of them due to allergies. I always did my best to accomdate kids - 
they never sat on the floor etc. but one year we had a child who had SEVERE 
allergies so that was the end of the cats.

They were my personal kids and commuted back and forth with me. 

Past students still ask about the cats.  I miss them but I'm not doing furry 
creatures again due to allergies - our current school nurse is super cautious.
