Subject: Do You Know This Book? Orphan Chapter Book

I have been asked about a chapter book (elementary) in which a girl
orphan is placed/arrives in a boys' orphanage. The boys help disguise
the girl as a boy so that she can stay in the orphanage. Any ideas???

ORIGINAL REQUEST

I've got a new project in mind to give as a Christmas present to a
dear young friend who is in her first year of teaching. She's a
fifth grade teacher at an arts integration elementary school and she
LOVES her job. She is supposed to be keeping a journal of her first
year teaching experiences and I'd love to give her a journal to use
decorated with teaching quotes. So, please send me your most
favorite teaching quotes (ask you teachers if you like, too!) and
I'll both use them in the journal and post a hit!
