Andre Gide -----Original Message----- From: School Library Media & Network Communications [mailto:LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU] On Behalf Of Mary Ludwick Sent: Thursday, October 02, 2008 12:01 PM To: LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU Subject: Characters from The Wizard of OZ This site: http://www.answers.com/topic/the-wonderful-wizard-of-oz-novel-2 says Dorothy's shoes were silver. I have only heard of the ruby red slippers. I don't have a copy of the book, but can anyone give me a clue as to why there is conflict in information (beside the response that answers.com was wrong).
