Thank you, all, for your wonderful response to my quest for K-1 Holiday Book Favs! Thought I would pass on your ideas. Thanks again, Christine Hineagarder IMC Support Teacher Primary Village South Centerville, OH chinegardner@gmail.com My all-time favorite - and can be used by anyone is the book: Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree by Robert Barry. A great read-aloud picture book with an emphasis on the festive season. Mr. Willowby buys the biggest tree he has ever had. But it is too tall for his hall, so the butler cuts the top off, gives the top to the upstairs maid who also has to trim it - and so on where the last bit finally ends up is really neat. This is one that the kids really like. Kimmel (a clever Caldecott Honor book about a man who saves the holiday by outwitting goblins intent on ruining it.) Hope there are a few there that are helpful to you!
