[LM_NET] Re Paula's idea of a discussion

Paula and all, I am a librarian in a K-7 public school. I try to let the
students and teachers know that the library and its contents are theirs.
If a teacher has a "technology" problem, I help them if I can and if I
can't, I seek out our ITRT or computer lab teacher. I believe the school
knows that I love children, books, teaching, and reading. I have a fixed
schedule of 25 classes each week, no aide, and the library is used for all
sorts of things - school pictures, state testing (Virginia's SOLs), band
class, volunteer luncheons, baby showers, etc. Occassionally, I will
become a traveling library and take a cart with books or a video to the
classroom when the library is being used for something like state testing.
I am here to serve and I do my best. I do grumble once in awhile. But 99%
of the time I love my job.
