Hello, fellow LM-NETTERs, Do any of you use a piece of software that allows students to sign in/sign out, and record the amount of time they are in the library? Ideally, my dream software lets them scan the barcode on their ID card, and records time in time out, and then at the end of the day, gives us a nice tidy report on who came into the library, and the total number of students who visited. We are running a time clock software program for this that is too high end--it was designed for business use, and while the sign in part is okay, the administration part (adding and deleting students, finding the correct report), is a nightmare. What are some of you using, other than paper and pencil sign in? I'll share results in a hit. Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell Mary B.
