Great book that all Office 2007 users need to get is "2007 Microsoft
Office Systems plain and simple: your easy colorful, SEE-How guide"
My husband picked it up at the Microsoft Book store (he's currently on
contract there) and it's fantastic! VERY LITTLE GEEK SPEAK! I didn't
find it at Amazon :( sorry!

Page 168 says

        1) select the slide that will contain the video and, on the
insert tab, click the Movie button. In the Insert Movie window that
appears, find and select the movie you want, and click OK

        2) In the Microsoft Office Powerpoint dialog box that appears,
click Automatically if you want the movie to play when the slide is
displayed, or click When Clicked to have the movie play only when
clicked

        3) Drag the Sizing handles of the image to set the size of your
video, and then drag it to the location you want
        4) Use the tools on the Movie Tools Options tab to modify your
setting.

Hope this helps!

We are new to Office 2007 here and are trying to embed a video into
PowerPoint. When we are in the slide view it plays well and completely.
However when you are in presentation mode, the video stops after 10 or
so
seconds, but the audio continues. Have any of you experienced this or do
you
have success in embedding longer videos. I am sure there must be a
setting,
but we can't find it.
Thanks.
Carole
