Dual Language teachers at my school like Francisco X. Alarcón's "seasonal" poetry 
books in English and Spanish, such as Angels Ride Bikes and Other Fall Poems or 
Iguanas in the Snow and Other Winter Poems. Many of Shel Silverstein's poetry books 
have been translated and appeal to kids of that age, if the teacher wants to go 
that route.  Generally, a terrific source for children's literature in Spanish, 
IMO, is the bookseller Lectorum at http://www.lectorum.com/eng/  They have some 
great poetry titles in their online catalog, like Mi primer libro de poemas, and 
you can control the search by age.  ¡Suerte!
