Keep and online calendar of classes, what they are using the library for, and how many periods. Also keep in mind those classes that come in just to check out books. Make sure the classes that are in the library have some kind of instruction from you as well. Collaboration is a key : ) Naomi Bates Northwest High School Library Justin, Texas nbates@nisdtx.org 817-215-0203 >>> "Jill.Brady" <Jill.Brady@MANORISD.NET> 9/30/2008 11:09 AM >>> Dear Infinitely Wise Information Specialists, I am a middle school librarian in a beautiful new facility with a nice new collection. The library is VERY BUSY, which was exactly my plan. I think I am in a good position to request funding a library aide next year. I keep track of how many classes are scheduled as well as individual students that come with passes. Does anyone have advice about how I can turn these daily tallies into convincing graphs and data that would convince the superintendent to fund an aide position? I'd like to be able to easily log numbers somewhere at the end of each day. Thanks for your thoughts and ideas!
