Does anyone have alternatives to the World Almanac For Kids kits that were available? I'm certainly fine with using Time for Kids or Scholastic Kids Almanac, but wondered if anyone had the sort of supporting lessons that went with the World Almanac products. I haven't really found any on my own. Right now I'm debating about getting the WA for Kids kit for 2009 quickly, or simply ordering a classroom set of Time for Kids and creating all my own materials. WA would be easier now, but if WA for Kids isn't published in the future, perhaps I should be switching over now. Certainly the concepts taught will be the same, but I do know that my students will want to use the same title that they've worked with in class. -- Anne Oelke Library Media Specialist pK-12 Cambria-Friesland School Dst.
