[LM_NET] high school library "exit outcomes"

Hi All,

 

I recently posted a question about "exit outcomes." In our district we have been 
asked to come up with a list of exit outcomes (i.e.the things we want students to 
know and be able to do when they finish a school year or graduate) Many people 
asked me to post a hit and a few people offered whatever info they had to help me 
create a list. The most helpful was a list of what college librarians wish freshman 
would know when starting college. So I will post it here.

 

confidence to ask library staff questions
ability to read and follow directions
principles of boolean logic
keywords
understand exactly what type of information they need
knowing what types of resources are available in print and electronic formats
bibliography/works cited pages
basic elements of a bibliographic entry
