To David and Karen as well as my esteemed cohort, Just to clarify, I am not objecting to librarians who are asking for more information about a title like perhaps, very YA , graphic sex, many f-bombs. Or as I like to say- too much sex, drugs and rock-and-roll for my collection. It's just that I don't want anyone to come back to me and say hey why didn't you tell me the x happened on page 62, I never would have bought that book. The Bank Street Colleges Children's Book Committee's Best Books of the Year, an annotated list of recommended titles put the letter M for mature with titles that are for 14 and up. What do you think? Is that a good way to give someone a heads up so that if they want to read it themselves to evaluate, they wouldn't feel blindsided? - Lisa Lisa Von Drasek Children's Librarian Bank Street College of Education School for Children Pre-K- 8 610 West 112th St NY NY 10025 lisav@bnkst.edu 212 875 4452 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
