This year I was going to offer homeroom teachers the opportunity to sign up their
classes for a weekly book exchange at the end of the day. Everyday we have a 40
minute study hall, where students can participate in band, orchestra and chorus.
Teams also do remedial work at this time and everyone does DEAR several times a
week. By having this book exchange time, I'm hoping to encourage reading, less
fooling around and less overdue notices sent to homerooms. Teachers would stay
during this 10 minute exchange time to help supervise. The library is usually
filled with students at this time working on projects and assignments.

Has anyone used a "live" calendar that could be sent via email or posted on the
library website and teachers could add their own names to the available time slots?
Should the calendar be for the week or a month? I just want to keep it simple. Any
suggestions on what type of program to use to create this "live" calendar? I am
somewhat familiar with google.docs, but it keeps getting blocked by my district's
filter. Thanks for the help.
