[LM_NET] General Question: Private School LMCs

I have two questions concerning working in a private school library 
media center.  If anyone could provide me with some suggestions and 
comments, I would be deeply grateful.  I will be graduating with a MLS 
this December also.

1.  I am having trouble passing the Math part of the Praxis I test to 
become a licensed media specialist (can't quite get my State's required 
passing score).  Do I need to be state licensed to work in a private 
school?

2.  Does one have to be affiliated with the private school's religion 
in order to be hired as a school librarian?  For example, does one need 
to be Lutheran to work in a Lutheran middle school?
