Okay, brilliant LM-Netters:
 
You did such an awesome job with the history picture books, here's one
of our other topics:  fantasy.  We are looking for books with text and
wordless books but, again, for older kids (9 and up).  
 
Here's my initial list.

A wordless tale in which a bird flying around the dinosaur exhibit in a
museum has an unsettling experience when it finds itself back in the
time of living dinosaurs.

Illustrations present such imaginative possibilities as worms with
wheels, caterpillar toothpaste, and whales in outer space.
 
Harvey Potter's Balloon Farm by Nolen
A child ventures out in the middle of the night to see how Harvey Potter
grows his wonderful balloons.
 
Wolves in the walls by Gaiman
Lucy is sure there are wolves living in the walls of her house, although
others in her family disagree, and when the wolves come out, the
adventure begins.
 
Just a dream by Van Allsburg
When he has a dream about a future Earth devastated by pollution, Walter
begins to understand the importance of taking care of the environment.
 
Weslandia by Fleischman
Wesley's garden produces a crop of huge, strange plants which provide
him with clothing, shelter, food, and drink, thus helping him create his
own civilization and changing his life.
 
The Stranger by Van Allsburg
The enigmatic origins of the stranger Farmer Bailey hits with his truck
and brings home to recuperate seem to have a mysterious relation to the
