[LM_NET] Office 2008 on a Mac Question

Hi all,
On our new Mac computers we have Office 2008.  We are networked and  
students have individual logins and we are on Active Directory (a  
security program that allows teachers and students to have different  
levels of access--I think this is what it is)  Each time students  
open Word, they have to create a user profile, which is totally  
annoying and time consuming.  Our tech people said this is an Office  
issue--not a network issue on our end.  Do any of you have the same  
problem?  It is driving us crazy!  Any suggestions???
