To block out ink color when xeroxing, the consensus seems to be to match the transparency color to the color of the ink. Before posting I did try to do that, but since I didn't have a colored transparency I used a section of a math transparency that contained many colors. Unfortunately, it didn't work. Maybe the colored part of the math transparency is darker than a transparency that is completely one color. I will go to a place such as Kinko's and purchase a transparency to try. By the way, one poster recommended a yellow transparency to improve the quality of a poor original. Also, there is a great Post-It tape by 3M that can be used to cover up info.. You need to decrease the brightness setting on the xerox machine to not see the border of the tape. The tape comes off and is reusable. I just didn't want to take the time to do this.
