Greetings! Teen Tech Week is coming up fast. Teen Tech Week 2009 takes place March 8-14, with a theme of Press Play @ your library(r), which is a time for libraries to show off all the great nonprint resources available to teens. Registration is available at www.ala.org/teentechweek through Feb. 9. YALSA is a nonprofit organization that depends on its members and partners for support. By registering, you are telling YALSA and its partners that this program is valuable and worth continuing. Plus, it's free and only takes a few minutes. Register today at www.ala.org/teentechweek! But hurry-registration ends at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8! Registration comes with benefits, too: * Everyone who registers will have free access to the Teen Health & Wellness database from Feb. 18 - March 27, courtesy TTW Promotional Partner Rosen Publishing! Rosen is also offering a contest for teens - three teens will win an iPod shuffle and your library could win a year's subscription to Teen Health & Wellness. Details on the Registration page. * In addition, the first 100 registrants in February will receive a free galley of the new teen paranormal novel, Swoon, and will be entered in a raffle for their reading group to chat online or via phone with the author, first-time novelist Nina Malkin, courtesy TTW Promotional Partner Simon & Schuster. Details on the Registration page. After you've registered, check out the website to find great ideas and tell us about your own! Browse the resources and activity ideas at the Teen Tech Week Web site-including Tech Guides, program examples and more-and then share your ideas and plans at the YALSA Teen Tech Week wiki, http://wikis.ala.org/yalsa/index.php/Press_Play_%40_Your_Library_TTW_200 9! Thank you for all you do to ensure teens have access to a wide variety of great library sources!
