Dear Great, Wise and Patient Ones:

I have been watching the recent posts to LM_NET thinking that our students
are starting their Spring projects such as literary analysis, persuasive
essays, and science projects. I think this would be a good time to share our
best resources--lists of websites, documentation guidelines, rubrics,
project ideas, etc. with each other.

Here's my first offering. Please feel free to share your ideas.

I know I have posted this idea before and it was not original with me. I got
the idea from the tips section of LMC a few years ago and it has proven to
be one of the most successful resources I have had in my library.

I used Word to make documentation guideline slips. I used different colors
for different resources. The guideline is a form with the type of source at
the top, then lines and punctuation with what is needed typed underneath the
line such as title, etc.
The student fills the form in exactly and then can tranfer that info to
their bibliography.

I don't know if that makes sense or if you can picture it or not.
If you are interested I can e-mail you a sample as an attachment.
