How about Lubar's - Hidden Talents? Last year we did Touching Spirit Bear as our all school read. This year, we decided to go with a really light read. We will read Korman's - Schooled. We have a hipppie day planned and the kids are excited. I think the teachers are even more excited. Good luck. This has really rocked this close knit community. Because of the constant newspaper coverage and the on going investigation morale is at an all time low. We are looking for some ways to brighten up our days and help morale. Several of the teachers have come to me for ideas. We are doing a March Madness where we have a themed day everyday teacher only and students on Friday dressing crazy days. One of the suggestions was a community read of something totally off the wall funny that we could all read and talk about instead of who said what about ... I am looking for any and all suggestions. Also any outside activities that we could share together, ideas such as movie, eating, plays, have a speaker ( we all have access to guidance). Any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated.
