Happy New Year everybody. I would appreciate any suggestions for articles or professional books that have advice for running a non-fiction book club for middle school students. This is for a professional development session for recipients of a grant based on the use of non-fiction. I have material on a book club based on a work of fiction and I know that some of that advice is transferable, but I need specific strategies for working with non-fiction in a book discussion group. I would also appreciate any advice that you could give that pertains to the special nature of non-fiction book clubs. Please reply to me off list. I will post a hit if requested.
