Hello helpful people,

I'm a new LMS. I'm wondering how many other k-5 LMS's are required to give report
card grades. The one time so far that I've given grades I followed the lead of the
last librarian and graded 3rd-5th graders on effort and participation.

I've just learned we are completely revamping our report cards in an effort to make
them more meaningful.  I, along with the Art, Music and PE were just asked what we
consider important to measure. We are changing to grades for K-5 rather than just
3-5. One idea discussed was rather than having a separate librayr grade we could
incorporate it into the classroom teacher's grades. I would provide the teacher
with my assessment on a  student's information literacy skills either generally or
as they relate to a particular subject. I'm trying to get my mind around this...
I'd love to hear thoughts and reactions.
