Original Query: I have heard that Destiny has an option that allows librarians to upload student made video booktalks into the OPAC. I would love to hear from anyone using this option. Responses: #1 Pretty easy. Go to the record you would like to attach the video. Looking at the MARC record, down the right hand side you are looking for the button that says Digital. Then you just browse to the correct file and attach it. Now, the students will see in the OPAC a link to watch the review. Do need to go check to see under access levels if you have the right to do this, or the button will not show up. #2 The digital content is presented in multiple formats, video reviews, book trailers, pod casts, So this is really approached in different ways. The audio or video reviews can be loaded by your students or teachers and this content when added will go through a review process where you can accept or decline that particular review. The other digital content is added you in media to I believe the 852 or 856 tag not certain which one but then that hyper link is added to the title details of the record and the student teacher parent can view this additional content by clicking on the hyperlink in the opac. This link is manageable with expiration dates so you can keep your records automatically "fresh' and remove dated content.
