A student requested our high school media specialist purchase the book, Tithe by Holly Black, for our high school media center (7th-12th grades). A colleague warned about excessive language used in the book. Our h.s. media specialist asked me if I had read it, but I haven't read that title and can't be of any help to her. I have the Spiderwick series, but haven't read any young adult titles by this author to provide an opinion. Should language be a legitimate concern in purchasing this title for a high school media center?
