Modeling reading! Hear hear and amen!

Hi, Megan:

Presumably, some portion of your work week is prep time. It would
definitely be okay to read then. I also think it's important to set a
good example by modeling reading!

Subject: GEN: Reading on the Job

I'm curious how many of you read on the job. Before I got a library
job,
reading at work was a guilty pleasure - something I snuck in here or
there
when I could. Now, though, I'm wondering if it acceptable to read books
in
the collection or professional development books when I'm on the clock.
I'm
worried that if students and staff see me reading they will think I am
slacking off or don't have enough work to do. So tell me - what do you
do?
Thanks!
