I am getting ready to do my inventory and have a couple of questions for more experienced folk. Is there anything I need to do before I begin downloading my scanned barcodes and saving them in Inventory? My Dolphin is good to go. I've already tested it. I tried to select "Begin Inventory" from the Inventory screen, but it is "ghosted" out, even though I there are no other Follett programs open anywhere else in the building. Is this step necessary? I am using a Dolphin PHD+. In a trial run, I have successfully scanned a handful of item barcodes and have successfully sent them from the Dolphin to my computer. I saved the file to My Documents. But the file type is such that I can't open it when I go back to My Documents. My question is - how will I create a file that is usable? In other words, how to I create a file that I can turn in to my superiors? Thanks for any advice! Chris Hibbard Library Media Specialist South Laurel Middle School 223 South Laurel Rd.
