Agreed David.  Next time I wonder if I should finally join, I'll remember how they 
spend their money and save mine for something worthwhile.

To me, to call the ALA a crackpot organization is an understatement. And 20/20 is 
one more sleazy enterprise that will be good company for the ALA in a deep 
cesspool!  Can we, as information specialists see through those that use media for 
sheer profit motive, as opposed to those that use media to have good will, respect, 
with the motive of strengthening society?  I hope the ALA goes the way of Lehman 
Brothers! In its present form it is a complete waste adding to the mass dumb down. 
There are better ways to draw attention and attendance.
