I am at a 9-12 independent boarding school and I've been asked to check into the accepted practices involving publishing student work on school websites or wikis. Are there copyright issues that we should be aware of? Would you advise getting permission from students and/or parents? Is there a legal difference in displaying student work on a school wiki or website as opposed to a student newspaper or classroom bulletin board? Who owns the work? Any advice or experience you can lend will be appreciated. Leslie Poston John A.
