I have a third grade boy who loves, loves, loves the Captain Underpants series. He has read them all and has aced all of his AR tests with these books, which is a very big deal for him. His teacher and I are trying to find other stories that are on the same level that he will enjoy, something with similar humor and silliness. I looked in the archives, found previous suggestions and tried those--Time Warp Trio, Junie B. Jones, Bailey School Kids, Marvin Redpost. He's not interested. I've tried The Stories Julian Tells, Geronimo Stilton, and Amber Brown. Again, a very polite "No, thank you." Now, I'm stumped. I think Dan Gutman might be too challenging for him, as would Hank Zipzer and Joey Pigza. Any ideas? I'd really like to help him, but I just don't know what else to suggest! Thanks!
