In one of his books, INDIAN KILLER (not for
children, suitable for senior English/college
freshman), a character named Marie, is in
college, taking a Native Literature course. On
the required readings is EDUCATION OF LITTLE
TREE. Marie talks with her professor about it. The excerpt is on my site:
