Hi everyone! I am in desperate need of some fun and engaging lessons that I can do
with my 4th and 5th grade students. I have recently had to move to a smaller room
because we are starting construction. I had to do a major weed to my library and
put a ton of stuff in storage (I'm getting a new library!!!). My reference section
right now only has 2 old sets of encyclopedias and some dictionaries. I've also
got a class set of almanacs and atlases. Right now, I only have one working
computer, but will hopefully have 3 more soon. I think my biggest problem is that
the 4th and 5th grade classes at our school are very large and I am in a very small
room with limited materials. Does anyone have any suggestions for games,
activities, stories I can do with my students? I've been using a powerpoint game
of Dictionary Balderdash that someone here sent me last year and my students have
loved it! I've thought about file folder activities that I can use as centers, but
cannot come up with anything that I think the older students will enjoy. Please
help! My 5th grade students are starting to be a discipline problem so I want to
get them back under control before its too late.

Thanks for your help!
