Hi folks. This week my principal announced my school would be eliminating grades PreK-8 at the end of this school year and grades 9-12 will remain. Background: private school - no district to deal with; 15K collection; 2 physical libraries divided preK-5 and 6-12; one Follett catalog; was 1 library until the earlier 2000s and I was not here when split was made and no distinctions were made in call numbers only in sublocation (can't create a list of preK-5 fiction or non-fiction. I checked the archives and found a bit that helps. I would like to be proactive and approach the administration with a plan/ time line for closing the library, removing the preK-8 materials from the catalog and disposing of the library materials. -- Deirdre Jameson Librarian Saint Bernard's School PreK - 12 Saint Paul, MN minivanlibrarian@gmail.com -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
