Friends, am I being too censoring? Our music teacher requested that I get
books with cds and I found a delightful book, One Night in Frogtown. A
little tadpole visits different types of musical groups, all reject him
because he won't say that their music is the ONLY kind worth playing. My
problem, one selection is called The Down Low. The song, like all the others
in the book, is terrific, but I am pretty sure that any parents who pay
attention to what their kids read and listen to would be bringing it back to
me, and not with smiles on their faces.

What do you think? Here is the book's website: contact@frogtowncentral.com
I can give it to the music teacher to use selected portions - just don't
feel comfortable sending it home for older sibs and parents to react to.
Today's kids "know" way, way more than I did as a child, but I don't think
elementary school is the place to introduce "the down low."
