[LM_NET] OT: Where to stay in NYC

Hi,
My wife and I intend to visit our daughter in New York City in mid June. We have 
never stayed there before. We would like to stay for about one week in Manhattan in 
a modest hotel. Would anyone wish to recommend a hotel? Our comfort zone is about 
$130-160/day for a room. The accomodations need to be clean and safe but we intend 
to be elsewhere much of the time. The midtown region might be most convenient for 
us but we would consider others. I have begun some searching of guidebooks and web 
sites and can feel the challenges of staying within a budget. Thank you to any who 
may offer suggestions.
