I am trying out Goodreads.com with a 5th grade class as an easy and fun way for the teacher to keep track of the books the students have read. I chose Goodreads because I can set up one account for the class and each student has a “shelf.” They add and give a short review of the books they have read to their “shelf” and then other students in the class and the teacher can easily read them. I have set the account as private and we have gone over the ground rules for the site and general internet safety. We are not using the social networking or discussion groups at this time. We just started this project and I am wondering if anyone else has any experience with this? I would love to hear any positive and negatives comments and suggestions. Thanks!
