[LM_NET] Target questions about the Little Engine that could

Anybody know the answers to these questions... from first graders... Please 
 make me look brilliant :)
 
1) What is the significance of the numbers on the trains? e.g. The train  
that breaks down is 7, the freight engine is 6 and the old engine is 10. 
 
2) Is it based on a true story? They had heard that it was a  
"fictionalized" account of something that really happened.
