[LM_NET] Interim/Short Courses

Hello - for the last three years we have run a week-long program where
students take a break from the regular curriculum and take a week-long
intensive course. These courses cover a wide range of experiences, from
sailing/hiking/rock climbing to economics/string theory/meteorology to film
noir/music composition/cooking to community service in other areas of the US
and the world. If you have a similar program at your school I would
appreciate the opportunity to discuss your program with you and with whoever
directs it. We are looking at options for improving our program and would
like to see what works for other schools. Please contact me off list if you
have a program and are willing share your insights.
