[LM_NET] TAR: Looking for UK Children's Book? Do you know it?

UK Children's big book


Does anyone remember a book like this:

   - Daddy goes on a ship to exotic lands with shore leave. Family at home
   in England carry on with birthdays as the seasons change. Daddy returns
   home.

My EAL teachers says it was great for teaching English. She thinks
Scholastic may now publish it - but it was another publisher years ago.
