I have both the iphone and the kindle reader. I use the iphone more often. I love
it.

Subject: Re: [LM_NET] Tar: Kindle vs. nook vs. Sony ereader

I have recently purchased a new iPhone and have downloaded and read several
books on it. It has a backlight so this would solve your dark-ish room
problem. The iPhone screen is small, but that is a mixed blessing. I have
to tap the screen to turn the page frequently, but it is just a quick tap
and so is not particularly bothersome. On the upside, the little phone is
always with me and available without pre-planning. It also eliminates the
weight and bulk of the larger eReaders in my purse. The iPhone runs only on
AT&T, so that might be an issue, but the even smaller and lighter iPod touch
offers the same basic features-minus the phone, of course- and is reasonably
priced considering what it offers.

Just something to consider...
